The announcement of SNH48’s first generation members, this has brought the Project48&46 group member count up to 363! When TPE48 management finally annouces the first generation members, this number will rise to nearly 400. As of 16th October 2012, these are the following Project48&46 groups:

Nogizaka46 Tokyo, Japan (AKB48’s official rival group) Debuted June 2011
JKT48 Jakarta, Indonesia Debuted November 2011
TPE48 Taipei, Taiwan Auditions in progress, yet to debut
SNH48 Shanghai, China First generation selected October 2012, yet to debut
I love Project48 (excluding Nogizaka46), but wonder when there will be too many groups!
